Workflow | Projection on buildings

A lot of work precedes the actual execution of a projection. We call this process the work flow. You will find a detailed description of this process together with all the required work. It is possible that not all information has been described or for example specific issues that are related to a specific project. In that case the content of FAQ might provide you with an answer. We are happy to answer any further questions you might have via email.

If the request contains relevant information it will be possible to give feedback on the possibilities of the projection as well as the cost (indication). In some cases a conversation by phone or skype is very helpful. In case the first cost indication meets the available budget, a meeting will be set for a site survey or area check.

In many cases a site survey will be executed. No matter where the projection will take place, NuFormer will always check the site, look at all possibilities on site, the building, the technical and logistical possibilities or limitations, the best view for the spectators, the site for the projectors etc. During the site visit, photos will be taken for further processing and the basis for animation. Measurements need to be taken. On site we will have meetings with the client, the contact persons, the local event producers who need to look after safety regulations, security, power supply and licensing.

After all information has been collected before, during and right after the site survey, we are able to make a final offer. This offer contains several important issues such as the description of the project, the content of the projection, duration, planning and cost. Immediately upon approval of the offer we move to the next stage, the development of the projection.

After the previous stages in the project it has been decided how the projection will look like. NuFormer will convey this through a storyboard and written script. The client will be given a presentation, upon approval the creation process starts. During the creation stage 3Dmodels are made and animated video images are being modified and integrated together with tailored sound effects for the projections. This process results in the actual film for projection. Meanwhile the client has several possibilities to give feedback for what concerns the development of the projection content.

Meanwhile NuFormer prepares the technical part of the projection, coordinates and gives instructions to the hardware supplier, event producers, the film crew. NuFormer is in control and responsible for the success of the project. During preparation and execution of the set up of the hardware configuration a member of staff of NuFormer will be present in order to look after the execution of the projection.
